Sorelle Winery
The vision of Sorelle Winery began in August of 2007, when our family purchased the historical Dodge Estate. The property has great history, leading back to 1776 where it began as fishing grounds for the Miwok Indians. The first known Americans visited this area in 1825 due to the abundance of wild grapes. Jonathon Holt Dodge purchased the property in 1857 and built a home in 1866 that stands on the property today. He planted a successful vineyard in collaboration with George West, a viticulturist and founder of the El Pinal Winery. It was one of the first in the county. Our family would like to honor the Dodge Family and their home by preserving it and its history. The Dodge family having two daughters, as does ours, led us to the name Sorelle meaning sisters in Italian. Sorelle is a boutique winery focusing on Italian varietals. We specialize in producing small lot estate grown wines. The Scott Family invites you to visit our tasting room and enjoy the scenery by roaming the beautiful grounds.
