HOW MANY YEARS HAVE YOU BEEN FARMING WINEGRAPES AND MAKING WINE?
I have been farming winegrapes for 25 years and making wine for 26. 

HOW MANY ACRES DO YOU FARM AND WHICH VARIETIES DO YOU GROW?
We farm 25 acres and grow Zinfandel, Tempranillo, Petite Sirah, Mouvèdre, Grenache, Roussanne, Piquepoul Blanc, Claret Blanc, and Marsanne.

HOW HAS THE LODI REGION CHANGED SINCE YOU’VE BEEN HERE?
When we opened our winery, there were only a fraction of the wineries that you see today. 

WHAT IS THE MOST DIFFICULT ASPECT OF MAKING WINE?
Every vintage has its own challenges and I am always learning something new every year.

ANY ADVICE FOR SOMEONE JUST STARTING OUT AS A WINEMAKER?
Stick to your passion as well as your taste.

WHAT WOULD PEOPLE BE SURPRISED TO KNOW ABOUT YOU?
When I started college I was a marine biology major. 

IF YOU HAD TO CHOOSE ANOTHER CAREER OR START OVER, WHAT WOULD YOU DO? 
A Formula One driver, definitely.

CURRENTLY, WHAT’S YOUR GO-TO DRINK?
Rosé – real men drink pink wine.
