Our family farms 800 acres which includes the following varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Carignane, Barbera, Tempranillo, Syrah, Petite Sirah, Merlot, Malbec, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc.
WHAT IS THE ONE THING YOU’D LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT LODI?
Lodi is a region that produces excellent fruit and exceptional wines. Many of our vineyards and wineries are family-owned and operated. This makes the Lodi Appellation area more appealing and welcoming to guests both locally and outside of the area.
HOW HAS THE LODI WINE REGION CHANGED OVER THE YEARS OR SINCE YOU’VE BEEN HERE?
In 2000, Van Ruiten Family Winery was one of the first tasting rooms and now there are over 90 bonded wineries in the Lodi region!

John Van Ruiten Sr., our founder, who believed that any dream could be achieved with hard work and perseverance. Following his lead, we are now a three-generation family-owned and operated winery.
